Roy Williams, Jr.
Elect
for Dallas County Sheriff
Hello,
a bit about me:
I'm Roy Williams, Jr. and I am asking for your support as I seek election to the office of Dallas County Sheriff. As the former elected Constable of Precinct 4, and the 2015 Dallas County Democratic Party Elected Official of the Year, I have displayed the temperament worthy of serving not only as an elected official, but also that of a law enforcement officer.
I have served eight successful and productive years as an elected official, and I bring with me 29 years of law enforcement experience. Additionally, I served close to 21 years with the Sheriff's Department. I have a BS in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a MS in Organizational Leadership, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, earning the distinction as an Academic Scholar.
As Constable, I served the cities of Cedar Hill, De Soto, Duncanville, Glenn Heights, Grand Prairie, and Irving. Today, I seek to expand my services to the entire County of Dallas. In 2010, I promised to serve with sound, ethical leadership. I promised to get back "to the basics" and core functions of the role of Constables in Dallas County.
I trust you feel that I have delivered. Today, I promise to continue leading with sound ethics and professionalism, hoping to do so as the Sheriff of Dallas County, seeking to reestablish trust and communication with the citizens of the county.

I will also address the mental wellness of the workforce by addressing PTSD and depression, and reduce overtime in the jail by hiring a productive and robust workforce. The difference is effective and proven leadership. My motto remains the same - we will BUILD TRUST DAILY, NOT IN A DAY.

Please vote for me as I seek to become your next Sheriff of Dallas County.
